DUNWICH was born at the end of 2013, designed by musical friends from different formations. Kev (Bézukry, Guest, Putridity Pleasure Party...) on vocals, Olivier (Crime Scene, Destroy Your Enemy, In Hell) and Vincent (Destroy Your Enemy) on guitars, François on bass and Maxime on drums.
The desire to edit a combo combining stoner, metal, doom and sludge (like bands like Electric Wizard, Orange Goblin, High On Fire...) was too strong ! DUNWICH is also a title of Electric Wizard, as well as a novel by HP Lovecraft ! The atmosphere was calm...
The composition can begin and a dozen titles will be created, mixing a dirty and rough sound with a shouted and torn song, titles alternately, rhythmic and swinging, but also heavy and psyched. The concerts follow (Rouen, St Omer, Calais, Lille...) and in the wake the recording of 3 titles also ! Self-produced, they will be posted on Soundcloud.
In April 2017, François leaves Calais and DUNWICH... Carl (ex Hanky-Panky and Dee N Dee) will replace him on bass. The time to rework the set, to create new tracks, a few months later they resume the concerts and festivals in the region, before entering the studio. They recorded 10 tracks, with the help of Chris (Death Control) and had them mixed and mastered by Fred (Zoë). Meanwhile they welcome Pierrot (ex 12,7 and Deicyfer) to the battery. He will replace Max who was no longer very interested to continue…
End 2021 the first album is released in digital, the adventure can continue !!!


DUNWICH est né à Calais fin 2013, conçu par des potes musiciens issus de formations différentes. Kev (Bézukry, Guest, Putridity Pleasure Party...) au chant, Olivier (Crime Scene, Destroy Your Enemy, In Hell) et Vincent (Destroy Your Enemy) aux guitares, François à la basse et Maxime à la batterie.
L'envie de monter un combo mariant le stoner, le metal, au doom et au sludge , (à l'instar de groupes comme Electric Wizard, Orange Goblin, High On Fire...) était trop forte ! DUNWICH est d'ailleurs un titre d'Electric Wizard, ainsi qu'un roman d'HP Lovecraft ! L'ambiance était posée...
La composition peut commencer et une dizaine de titres seront créés, mêlant un son sale et rugueux à un chant crié et arraché, des titres tour à tour, rythmés et swingants, mais aussi lourds et psychés. Les concerts suivent (Rouen, St Omer, Calais, Lille...) et dans la foulée l'enregistrement de 3 titres également ! Auto-produits, ils seront postés sur Soundcloud.
En avril 2017, François quitte Calais et DUNWICH... C'est Carl (ex Hanky-Panky et Dee N Dee) qui le remplacera à la basse. Le temps de retravailler le set, de créer de nouveaux titres, quelques mois plus tard ils reprennent les concerts et festivals dans la région, avant d'entrer en studio. Ils enregistrent 10 titres, avec l’aide de Chris (Death Control) aux mannettes et les font mixer et masteriser par Fred (Zoë). Entre temps ils accueillent Pierrot (ex 12,7 et Deicyfer) à la batterie, il viendra remplacer Max qui n’était plus très intéressé pour continuer…
Fin 2021 le premier album sort en digital, l’aventure peut continuer !!!
